Uithuiszetting

Uithuiszetting, also known as "forced removal" or "forced eviction," is a legal process in the Netherlands where a court orders the removal of a person from their home. This measure is typically used as a last resort when all other attempts to resolve a housing dispute have failed. The process is governed by the Housing Act and is intended to ensure that individuals have a safe and suitable place to live.

The procedure for uithuiszetting involves several steps. First, the tenant or homeowner must file a complaint with the local housing authority. If the housing authority is unable to resolve the dispute, the case is referred to the court. The court will then assess the situation and, if it determines that uithuiszetting is necessary, issue an order for the removal of the individual from their home.
