UVIRsäteily
UVIRsäteily, or ultraviolet (UV) radiation, is a form of electromagnetic radiation with wavelengths shorter than visible light but longer than X-rays. It is categorized into three main types based on its wavelength: UVA, UVB, and UVC. UVA radiation has the longest wavelengths, ranging from 315 to 400 nanometers (nm), and is responsible for tanning and aging of the skin. UVB radiation, with wavelengths from 280 to 315 nm, is the primary cause of sunburn and contributes to skin cancer. UVC radiation, with wavelengths from 100 to 280 nm, is the most energetic and is absorbed by the Earth's ozone layer, making it harmless at ground level.
UV radiation is emitted by the sun and artificial sources such as tanning beds and mercury vapor
To protect against UV radiation, various measures can be taken, such as using sunscreen, wearing protective
