UPSEE

Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination, commonly known as UPSEE, was an entrance examination conducted annually for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programs in engineering, technology, architecture, pharmacy, management, and other professional courses in various government and private institutions across Uttar Pradesh, India. The examination was organized by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), formerly Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU).

UPSEE served as a gateway for students seeking admission to a wide range of courses offered by universities and colleges affiliated with AKTU, as well as other state universities and institutions. The exam pattern and syllabus varied depending on the course and category. Typically, UPSEE consisted of multiple-choice questions testing knowledge in subjects like physics, chemistry, mathematics, aptitude, and general awareness, depending on the chosen stream.

The examination process involved online registration, followed by the entrance test. Based on the performance in UPSEE, candidates were allotted ranks, and subsequently, a counseling process was conducted for seat allocation in various participating institutions. UPSEE played a significant role in the state's higher education system, facilitating a structured admission process for numerous professional courses. In recent years, there have been discussions and changes regarding its future, with some institutions exploring alternative admission methods.
