UHFbased refers to any system, device, or technology that operates primarily within the Ultra High Frequency (UHF) radio band. The UHF spectrum spans frequencies from 300 megahertz (MHz) to 3 gigahertz (GHz). This range is utilized for a wide variety of applications due to its ability to penetrate some obstacles and its suitability for shorter-range communications.

Common examples of UHFbased technologies include television broadcasting, mobile phones, Wi-Fi networks, cordless phones, and various two-way radio systems such as walkie-talkies and police radios. In broadcasting, UHF frequencies are often used for digital television signals. For mobile phones, UHF bands are crucial for transmitting voice and data between devices and cell towers. Wi-Fi routers and devices also commonly employ UHF frequencies, typically in the 2.4 GHz range, for wireless internet connectivity.
