UDBA
UDBA is the common acronym for Uprava državne bezbednosti, which translates to the Administration of State Security. This was the secret police organization of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (SFRY). Established in 1946, UDBA was responsible for internal and external security matters, including counterintelligence, political surveillance, and suppressing dissent against the Yugoslav communist regime. It operated throughout all six federal republics of Yugoslavia.
