UBORs

UBORs, or Unidentified Buoyant Objects, are a category of unexplained phenomena involving objects observed floating or drifting in bodies of water, often the ocean, that defy conventional identification. These objects can range in size and shape, and their appearance is frequently reported by maritime vessels, coastal residents, or aerial observers. The term UBOR is used when conventional explanations such as debris, marine life, or known vessels cannot account for the observed characteristics.

Reports of UBORs have been documented for decades, though they are not as widely publicized as some other unidentified phenomena. The nature of UBORs remains largely unknown, with speculation ranging from unusual natural formations to unknown man-made objects, or even more esoteric explanations. The lack of concrete evidence, such as recovered samples or clear photographic or video documentation, makes definitive analysis difficult.

Investigations into UBOR sightings typically involve trying to correlate them with known environmental conditions, shipping traffic, or geological activity in the area. Often, subsequent observation or further data reveals a plausible, albeit initially overlooked, explanation.
