UARTframe

UARTframe refers to a packet or data structure used in Universal Asynchronous Receiver/Transmitter (UART) communication. UART is a serial communication protocol that transmits data one bit at a time. A UARTframe is essentially a standardized way of organizing these bits to ensure reliable data transfer between devices.

A typical UARTframe consists of several components. It begins with a start bit, which signals the beginning of data transmission. Following the start bit are the data bits, usually ranging from 5 to 9 bits, representing the actual information being sent. Parity bits may be included for error detection, where a specific bit is added to indicate whether the number of set bits in the data is even or odd. Finally, one or more stop bits are transmitted, indicating the end of the frame and allowing the receiver to prepare for the next frame.

The precise format of a UARTframe, including the number of data bits, parity setting, and number of stop bits, must be configured identically on both the transmitting and receiving UART devices. This synchronization ensures that the receiver can correctly interpret the incoming bit stream as a valid frame. Variations in UARTframe configurations can lead to communication errors or complete failure to establish a connection. Understanding the structure of a UARTframe is crucial for debugging and implementing serial communication systems.
