UAPs

Unidentified Aerial Phenomena, often abbreviated as UAP, refers to any observed object or phenomenon in the sky that cannot be immediately identified. This term has largely replaced the more colloquial "unidentified flying object" or UFO, particularly in official government and military contexts. The shift in terminology aims to destigmatize the topic and encourage more objective scientific inquiry.

UAPs encompass a wide range of sightings, from unusual atmospheric effects and known aircraft operating in unexpected ways to phenomena for which no conventional explanation is readily apparent. Reports of UAPs have a long history, with documented accounts existing for centuries. In recent years, there has been a renewed public and governmental interest in the subject. This resurgence is partly due to increased transparency from some governments, including the United States, which has declassified some historical documents and established offices to investigate UAP reports.
