Tádzsikisztán, officially the Republic of Tajikistan, is a landlocked country in Central Asia. It is bordered by Afghanistan to the south, Uzbekistan to the west, Kyrgyzstan to the north, and China to the east. The country's capital and largest city is Dushanbe.

The terrain of Tádzsikisztán is predominantly mountainous, with the Pamir Mountains occupying a significant portion of its territory. The official language is Tajik, which is closely related to Persian. The majority of the population practices Islam, primarily Sunni. The economy is heavily reliant on remittances from migrant workers, particularly in Russia, and the export of aluminum and cotton. Agriculture also plays a vital role, with cotton being a major cash crop.

Tádzsikisztán is a member of various international organizations, including the United Nations, the Commonwealth of Independent States, and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. The country faces challenges related to its mountainous geography, economic development, and regional security.
