Typisierungstest, also known as blood typing or blood group testing, is a laboratory procedure that determines a person's blood type. This test is crucial for several medical applications, primarily blood transfusions and pregnancy management.

The most common blood typing system is the ABO system, which classifies blood into four groups: A, B, AB, and O. This classification is based on the presence or absence of specific antigens on the surface of red blood cells and antibodies in the plasma.
