Twenty88

Twenty88 is a musical project featuring American singer-songwriters Jhené Aiko and Big Sean. The duo officially formed in 2016 and released their debut self-titled album, Twenty88, on March 31, 2016. The album was a surprise release and explored themes of love, relationships, and the complexities of modern romance. It garnered commercial success, debuting at number five on the US Billboard 200 chart. The project was executive produced by both Aiko and Sean, along with Larry K. Jackson and Da Internz.

Following the success of their first album, Twenty88 announced a sequel. Their second album, Twenty88: A 2, was released on July 21, 2017. This follow-up continued the narrative and sonic palette established in the first record, further solidifying their collaborative chemistry. The visual presentation of both albums, including accompanying short films and music videos, played a significant role in their artistic expression, often depicting surreal and conceptual scenarios. While Aiko and Big Sean have had successful solo careers, their work as Twenty88 is recognized for its unique blend of their individual styles, creating a distinct sound and aesthetic.
