Tuloveroa

Tuloveroa is a type of ordinary kibbutz in the Jezreel Valley region of northern Israel. Established in 1950, it is located approximately 4 kilometers east of the city of Afula.

The kibbutz was founded by a group of young men and women who were primarily from Romania and Poland. They were influenced by the ideas of secular Zionism and the vision of creating a utopian society in the then-Palestine Mandate. During its early years, Tuloveroa focused on agriculture, with its initial primary activities being farming and rearing of livestock.

In the second half of the 20th century, the kibbutz gradually shifted towards industrial and service-based activities, including manufacturing and education. Today, Tuloveroa is an ordinary kibbutz, meaning that its economy and governance are not as centralized as in some other, more traditional kibbutzim. The kibbutz has a relatively small population size, with most residents living in private homes and working outside of the kibbutz's collective framework.

Tuloveroa is a member of the moshavim, the Federation of Local Authorities in Northern Israel, and has sought opportunities for economic and cultural integration with its surrounding communities. The kibbutz operates a few businesses, including farming and light industrial activities, but its main function is that of a residential community, with a relatively small and close-knit community life.
