Tsüanoakrylaat

Tsüanoakrylaat, often abbreviated as CA, is a family of strong, fast-acting adhesives. They are known for their ability to bond a wide variety of materials, including plastics, rubber, metal, wood, and ceramics, with exceptional speed. The rapid curing process is a result of an anionic polymerization reaction that is initiated by the presence of even trace amounts of moisture, such as that found on most surfaces. This makes them ideal for quick repairs and assembly tasks where speed is a priority.

The chemical structure of tsüanoakrylaat involves a cyano group and an acrylate group attached to the same carbon atom. This unique arrangement is responsible for its adhesive properties. When exposed to a nucleophile, typically a hydroxide ion from water, the double bond in the acrylate group breaks, allowing monomers to link together and form long polymer chains. This polymerization hardens the liquid adhesive into a solid, creating a strong bond.

Tsüanoakrylaats are commonly sold under various brand names and are available in different formulations tailored for specific applications. Some formulations are designed to be more flexible, while others offer enhanced impact resistance. They are typically found in liquid form, dispensed from small bottles with precision tips.
