T-Series is an Indian music record label, film production, and distribution company based in Mumbai. Founded in 1983 by Gulshan Kumar, it began as a small operation focused on devotional music and cassettes, evolving into a major label for Bollywood soundtracks and contemporary Indian music. After Gulshan Kumar's murder in 1997, his son Bhushan Kumar became chairman and expanded the group's activities into film production, digital music, and international licensing, making T-Series one of India's largest music content companies.
