Trimestru

Trimestru, also known as a trimester, is a period of three months. The term is commonly used in the context of pregnancy to refer to the three stages of pregnancy. The first trimester begins from the first day of the last menstrual period and lasts until the end of the twelfth week. During this period, the fertilized egg implants itself in the uterus, and the placenta begins to form. The second trimester begins at the thirteenth week and ends at the end of the twenty-sixth week. This period is marked by significant growth and development of the fetus, including the formation of major organs and the beginning of fetal movement. The third trimester starts at the twenty-seventh week and continues until the baby is born. During this time, the fetus grows rapidly, and the body prepares for childbirth. Trimestru can also refer to a period of three months in other contexts, such as in business or finance, where it is used to describe a quarter of a year.
