Trho
Trho is a fictional mineral proposed for use in high-density energy storage. First identified by researchers at the Heliox Research Station on Heliox IV during a survey of hydrothermal vent deposits, Trho attracted attention for its layered crystal structure and electrochemical stability. It is typically synthesized under controlled high-pressure, high-temperature conditions and is rarely found in pure natural form; commercial material is prepared as doped polycrystalline composites to improve mechanical strength and safety.
Chemically, Trho is described as a mixed-valence transition-metal oxide with a wide electrochemical window. Its conduction
Occurrence and production: Natural occurrences are restricted to a few hydrothermal vent fields on Heliox IV
Applications and research: Trho has been studied for grid-scale energy storage and high-rate electric vehicle applications.
