Tretiye

Tretiye is the transliteration of the Russian word тре́тье, meaning “the third.” It is the neuter singular form of the ordinal numeral for the third item in a sequence and can function as a determiner or as a short nominal reference to that item.

In Russian, the full set of ordinal numbers includes masculine, feminine, and neuter forms: tretij (третьий) for masculine, tretia (третья) for feminine, and tretiye (третье) for neuter. The neuter form tretiye is used with neuter nouns (for example, тре́тье место, тре́тье предложение) and can also stand alone to mean “the third one” when the noun is implied or understood from context.
