Transpositionshändelser, often translated as transposition events, refer to a class of molecular mechanisms in genetics. These events involve the movement of a specific segment of DNA from one location to another within the genome. The mobile DNA segments responsible for these events are known as transposable elements or transposons, sometimes referred to as "jumping genes."
