Transportstyrelsens

Transportstyrelsen, or the Swedish Transport Agency, is a government agency under the Swedish Ministry of Infrastructure. It is responsible for regulation and supervision of transport across road, rail, air, and maritime sectors, as well as the registration of vehicles and licensing of drivers and professional transport operators. The agency maintains national registers for vehicles, drivers and transport operators, issues driving licenses and professional certificates, and handles vehicle registration, vehicle identification, and the setting of inspection requirements.
