The word blends transform with grenser (borders), reflecting its role as a border between different representations or regimes in a transformed space. It is not a standardized concept with a single formal definition, but a descriptive label used to point to transition points within a transformed domain.

In mathematics and dynamical systems, a transformgrenser may refer to a locus in the transformed coordinates where qualitative properties change, such as a switch between linear and nonlinear behavior after a coordinate change, or the border separating regions of distinct stability in a piecewise model. In signal processing and data science, the term can indicate where a transformation (for example, a Fourier, wavelet, or time-frequency decomposition) reveals a shift in dominant features, often marking the boundary between different scales or bands.
