Towdrawing

Towdrawing refers to the practice of pulling or dragging an object, often a vehicle, behind another vehicle. This is commonly done when a vehicle is inoperable and needs to be moved to a repair shop or a different location. The object being towed, known as the towed vehicle or trailer, is typically attached to the towing vehicle using a tow hitch, tow strap, or tow bar.

There are several methods of towdrawing. One common method is using a tow strap, which connects the front of the towed vehicle to the rear of the towing vehicle. This method is often used for shorter distances and when the towed vehicle has functional steering and brakes. Another method involves a tow bar, which creates a rigid connection between the two vehicles, allowing the towed vehicle to be steered and braked more effectively. For longer distances or when a vehicle is severely damaged, a tow truck, which lifts either the front or all four wheels of the towed vehicle off the ground, is typically employed.
