Tolstoyans
Tolstoyans are followers of the teachings of the Russian writer Leo Tolstoy. These teachings, primarily found in his later works such as "The Kingdom of God Is Within You," emphasize Christian anarchism, nonviolent resistance, pacifism, and a rejection of state authority and organized religion. Tolstoyans advocate for a simple life, often involving manual labor, vegetarianism, and abstaining from alcohol and tobacco. They believe in the inherent goodness of humanity and the importance of living according to conscience, guided by the principles of Christ's teachings.
The movement gained traction in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, both within Russia and internationally.
