Todentamisyksiköt

Todentamisyksiköt, often abbreviated as TMS, are specialized units within the Finnish Defence Forces responsible for the detection and neutralization of mines and other explosive hazards. Their primary mission is to ensure the safety of military operations and civilian populations by clearing areas of explosive remnants of war (ERW) and other explosive hazards.

The establishment of TMS units is a direct response to the challenges posed by ERW, which continue to affect many countries, including Finland. These units are equipped with advanced detection technologies and specialized vehicles designed to safely locate and neutralize explosive devices.
