Titrierlösung

Titrierlösung is a German term that translates to titrant or titrating solution in English. It refers to a solution of precisely known concentration that is used in analytical chemistry for the process of titration. Titration is a quantitative chemical analysis technique used to determine the concentration of an unknown substance, the analyte, by reacting it with a solution of known concentration, the titrant.

The titrant is typically dispensed from a burette into the analyte solution, which is usually placed in a flask. As the titrant is added, it reacts with the analyte.
