Tiltanak

Tiltanak refers to a traditional Filipino game, commonly played by children in rural areas. The game involves a wooden projectile, often a small, carved stick or a piece of wood, and a larger stick or base. The objective is to strike the smaller projectile with the larger stick to propel it as far as possible.

The gameplay typically involves two teams or two players. One player or team places the tiltanak (the smaller projectile) on the ground, often balanced on a small stone or in a shallow hole. The other player or team uses the larger stick, called the "sibat" or "pamalo," to hit the tiltanak. The force and angle of the strike determine how far the tiltanak travels.

Points are usually awarded based on the distance the tiltanak is hit. Players take turns striking the tiltanak, and the team that achieves the longest distances over a series of rounds wins. The game requires skill in striking and a good sense of distance estimation. Tiltanak is a simple yet engaging game that promotes physical activity and friendly competition among children.
