Tillgänglighetslagen
Tillgänglighetslagen is a Swedish law that aims to ensure that public sector information and services are accessible to all citizens, including people with disabilities. The law primarily targets digital public services, notably websites and mobile applications, but also relevant information provided by public authorities in other accessible formats. Its purpose is to promote equal access and participation by removing barriers in communication, information, and interaction with public services. The act also implements the EU directive on accessibility of public sector websites and mobile applications.
The law applies to central government agencies, counties, municipalities, and other public bodies that provide services
Implementation and oversight are coordinated through the Swedish Agency for Digital Government (DIGG), which supports authorities
