Tilbageløbssikring
Tilbageløbssikring, often translated as backflow prevention, refers to measures and devices designed to prevent contaminated water from entering the potable water supply system. This contamination can occur when there is a sudden drop in pressure within the supply system, causing water to flow backward from a lower-pressure source into the higher-pressure potable water lines. This phenomenon is known as backsiphonage or backpressure.
Backflow can introduce harmful substances such as pollutants, chemicals, or bacteria from sources like irrigation systems,
Regulations and codes in many jurisdictions mandate the installation and regular testing of backflow prevention devices
