Tiellistus

Tiellistus is a genus of extinct marine reptiles belonging to the order Plesiosauria. These large, long-necked creatures inhabited the oceans during the Jurassic period. Fossil evidence suggests Tiellistus possessed a streamlined body, four powerful flippers, and a relatively short tail compared to some other plesiosaurs. Its skull was elongated, likely housing sharp teeth adapted for catching fish and other small marine animals.

The exact classification and evolutionary relationships of Tiellistus are still debated among paleontologists. While clearly a plesiosaur, its specific placement within the broader plesiosaurian family tree is subject to ongoing research and discovery of new fossil material. Remains attributed to Tiellistus have been found in various locations, indicating a widespread distribution across the ancient seas of its time.
