Tidsriktigheten

Tidsriktigheten is a Swedish term that translates roughly to "temporal correctness" or "being in tune with the times." It refers to the quality of something being fashionable, contemporary, or aligned with the prevailing trends and spirit of a particular era. This concept can be applied to a wide range of things, including fashion, design, art, technology, and even social attitudes.

In the context of fashion and design, tidsriktigheten suggests that an object or style reflects the current aesthetic sensibilities and technological capabilities of its time. A building that is considered tidsriktig, for example, might employ modern materials and design principles that were popular and innovative at the time of its construction. Similarly, a piece of music might be described as tidsriktig if it incorporates the sounds and compositional techniques that characterize its genre during a specific period.

The opposite of tidsriktigheten would be something that is anachronistic, outdated, or out of step with its contemporary context. However, the term does not necessarily carry a negative connotation.
