Tidsfelt

Tidsfelt is a compound word found in Scandinavian languages—formed from tid (time) and felt (field or area)—that is used in various technical and everyday contexts to denote an area, interval, or data element related to time. As a literal term it can refer to a temporal field or zone in scheduling, planning and logistics, where it denotes a contiguous span reserved for an activity or resource.

In information technology and data modeling, tidsfelt often corresponds to a timestamp or time-related database field that records moments or intervals (for example start time, end time, or duration). In such usage it functions as a metadata element for sorting, querying and synchronizing records.
