Ticinius
Ticinius, also known as Tiberinus, is a figure from early Roman legend, most famously associated with the Tiber River. He is often depicted as a king of Alba Longa who, through a series of events, became identified with the river god. According to some accounts, Ticinius was a benevolent ruler who led his people to the Tiber River, where they settled. During a flood of the river, he is said to have drowned while attempting to rescue his people. In his honor or due to his association with the waters, the river was named Tiberis after him.
Another tradition links Ticinius to the founding of Rome. In this version, he was a Sabine king
