Threeisland

Threeisland is a small archipelago in the Eldoran Sea, comprising three principal islands known as Northisle, Centralisle, and Southshore. The combined land area is roughly 15 square kilometers, and the population is around 2,800 residents, concentrated mainly on Centralisle, where the port and main services are located. The archipelago is connected by shallow channels and a network of coastal trails.

Geography and geology: The islands are of volcanic origin with some limestone formations; the climate is temperate maritime, with mild winters and cool summers. The surrounding waters host diverse marine life and seabird colonies.

History: Human settlement began around the 7th century by Norin-speaking peoples, with later rule by the Eldorian kingdom and, in modern times, integration into the provincial administration as a rural municipality. The economy historically relied on fishing and salt production; tourism expanded in the late 20th century.

Governance: Threeisland is administered as a rural municipality within the Eldorian province. Local government is led by a council elected every four years; the municipal authorities oversee land use, heritage sites, and local services.

Economy and demographics: The economy today centers on fishing, aquaculture, tourism, and small-scale crafts. The population is aging slightly, with a growing number of commuters to larger neighboring towns.

Infrastructure and transport: Access is by regular ferry service from the mainland and a small airstrip on Centralisle for light aircraft. The islands maintain a network of scenic roads and pedestrian paths.

Culture and environment: The Three Island Festival celebrates maritime heritage each summer. Protected areas cover coastal cliffs and seabird nesting sites; fisheries operate under sustainable management plans to protect biodiversity.
