Tescili

Tescili is a Turkish term used in civil and administrative law to describe the act of officially registering a right, asset, or designation with a competent public registry, or the status created by such registration. Registration provides legal recognition and is often required to exercise or enforce the associated rights.

Common applications include real property, where ownership and encumbrances are recorded in the land registry; vehicles, where ownership and liens are noted; and commercial or intellectual property, where business entities, brands, and patents receive formal entry. In many jurisdictions, the act of registration is a prerequisite for rights to be legally enforceable against third parties.

Process typically involves submitting documents to the relevant registry, payment of fees, review for completeness and legality, potential verification of claims, and issuance of a registration certificate or entry number. The record is usually made public and can be used as evidence of the right or status.
