Teniszjáték

Teniszjáték is the Hungarian word for tennis. It refers to the racket sport played by two or four players on a rectangular court. The objective of tennis is to hit a ball over a net into the opponent's court in such a way that the opponent cannot return it legally. Players use a tennis racket to strike the ball. The game is played with a series of points, games, and sets. Winning a point typically requires the opponent to miss a shot, hit the ball out of bounds, or fail to return it within the allowed time.

The court is divided in half by a net. Players stand on opposite sides and hit the ball back and forth. The serve is the shot that starts each point. It must be hit from behind the baseline into the diagonally opposite service box. After the serve, players rally by hitting the ball back and forth until one player fails to make a legal return.

Scoring in tennis involves a unique system. Points are called love (zero), 15, 30, and 40. Winning a point after 40-40, known as deuce, requires winning two consecutive points. A game is won by winning at least four points. Winning six games, with a margin of at least two games, usually wins a set. Matches are typically best of three or best of five sets. Professional tennis tournaments are highly competitive and attract global attention.
