Telefonilists

Telefonilists, also known as telephone directories or phone books, are compilations of telephone numbers and their associated subscriber information. Historically, these lists were published in physical book form and were a primary method for individuals and businesses to find contact details for others. They typically contained alphabetical listings of names and addresses along with their corresponding telephone numbers.

The content of a telefonilist varied. The most common section was the white pages, which listed residential subscribers by surname. Businesses and government agencies were usually found in the yellow pages, organized by industry or service category. Some directories also included additional information such as emergency service numbers, local maps, and postal codes.

The advent of the internet and mobile technology has significantly impacted the traditional telefonilist. Online directories and search engines have largely replaced physical phone books for many users due to their ease of access, up-to-date information, and broader search capabilities. While physical directories are still produced in some regions, their distribution and usage have declined considerably. The term "telefonilist" now often refers to digital contact lists or online directories.
