Teisendaja

Teisendaja is an Estonian noun meaning a person or device that performs a transformation from one form to another. The root comes from the verb teisenda, “to convert” or “to translate.” In everyday language, the standard term for a language translator is tõlkija, but teisendaja is used in more technical or generic contexts to describe a converter, transformer, or mediator of change.

In computing and information technology, teisendaja refers to components or programs that convert data or formats. Examples include file format converters, data transformers, and encoding/decoding utilities. In programming, a function or operator that maps inputs to outputs can be described as a teisendaja or as implementing a transformation.

In electronics and signal processing, a teisendaja is a device that converts one type of signal to another, such as voltage, current, or waveform transformations.
