Tayside
Tayside was a region in the east of Scotland, created in 1975 under the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973. It was one of the eight administrative regions of Scotland and was named after the River Tay, the longest river in Scotland, which flows through the area. The region comprised the cities of Dundee and Perth, as well as the counties of Angus and the northern part of Fife.
