Dundee

Dundee is a city and port in eastern Scotland, on the north bank of the Firth of Tay at the river’s mouth. It is the main urban centre of the Dundee City Council area, with a population of around 150,000. Originating as a medieval burgh, the city grew rapidly in the 18th and 19th centuries through the jute and shipbuilding trades along the Tay, and later diversified into science and education.
