Tavastland
Tavastland, also known as Tavastia (Finnish: Häme; Swedish: Tavastland; Latin: Tavastia), is a historical province of Finland. It existed as an administrative and cultural region from the medieval era until the early 19th century, when Finland's governance underwent major reforms under Russian rule. The province roughly corresponds to parts of southern and central Finland and bordered other historical provinces such as Satakunta and Uusimaa.
