A Tangentialkreisstelle, literally “tangential ring intersection”, is a type of road junction used mainly in German-speaking regions. It is designed as a multi‑way intersection where all connecting roads meet at a circular, tangential layout rather than a simple crossroads or cloverleaf. The key feature is that the incoming lanes of each connecting road are directed tangentially around a central roundabout or ring. This allows vehicles to merge onto the ring, circulate around it, and exit onto any of the connecting roads.
