Taladas is a fictional region on the continent of Aethria, commonly featured in fantasy literature and role-playing games. It encompasses varied landscapes, from coastal plains to forested highlands, and has played a significant role in regional mythology and political history within its setting.

Geographically, Taladas is bounded by the Silver Coast to the west, the Great Highlands to the north, the Embersteppe to the east, and the Azure Sea to the south. The interior includes the Iron Peaks, the Verdant Valley, and the Neris River, with tributaries fostering fertile settlements.

Historically, the region was settled in antiquity by the Talad people. It later developed under a series of city-states and was shaped by the Dusk Wars. In the modern lore, the Charter of Unity established a constitutional federation governing five city-states.

Taladas is a federation of five city-states governed by the Council of Five, led by a Chancellor elected for a five-year term. The council handles foreign policy, defense, and long-term planning, while city councils manage local affairs.

The population is diverse, with Taladian speakers forming the majority. The economy centers on agriculture (grain and olives), mining (iron and copper), fishing, timber, and shipbuilding. Port Selene serves as the principal commercial hub and naval base.
