Takýmto

Takýmto is a Slovak grammatical form used to express manner or method. It is the instrumental singular form of a demonstrative adjective that conveys “in this/such a way” and is typically found before a noun in the instrumental case. In practice, takýmto appears in common phrases that describe how something is done.

The most frequent usage is in fixed collocations such as takýmto spôsobom, meaning “in this way” or “by this method.” Other examples include takýmto prístupom (in this approach) and takýmto spôsobom funguje (this is how it works). These constructions are common in instructional, explanatory, and formal writing, as well as in everyday speech.

Grammatical notes: takýmto agrees with the gender and number of the associated noun in the instrumental case. It generally occurs with masculine or neuter nouns; feminine forms appear in other demonstrative constructions, following the patterns of Slovak adjective declension.
