Tacticityn is a term used in polymer science to describe a proposed quantitative descriptor of stereochemical regularity along a polymer backbone. It is intended to complement the traditional classifications of tacticity—isotactic, syndiotactic, and atactic—by providing a scalar measure of local stereoregularity that can apply to polymers with mixed or imperfect sequences.
