Tabularnewline is a term used in data processing and programming to refer to a newline character that appears within a data field that is intended to be treated as a single unit, typically within a delimited data structure like a CSV file. This can cause parsing errors if not handled correctly, as a standard parser might interpret the newline as the end of a record instead of a character within a field.

For instance, if a CSV file contains a text field with multiple lines of description, and that field is enclosed in quotation marks, the newline characters within the quotes are considered part of the data. However, without proper handling, a program reading the CSV might incorrectly split the record at each internal newline.

Solutions for handling tabularnewline characters often involve specific parsing libraries or configurations that recognize enclosure characters (like double quotes) and understand that newlines within these enclosures should not terminate a record.
