TVN is a Polish private television network and media group known for its flagship channel TVN and a family of sister channels and digital services. Established in the late 1990s, it grew into one of Poland’s leading commercial broadcasters, competing with public television TVP and other private networks. The TVN portfolio includes general entertainment channels such as TVN, a 24-hour news channel TVN24, and additional channels like TVN7, TVN Style, and TVN Turbo, as well as the sports channel nSport and the business and world channel TVN24 Biznes i Świat. The group also operates online platforms including the news portal tvn.pl and the streaming service Player.pl, which hosts live broadcasts and on-demand content.

Programming across TVN’s channels encompasses news, entertainment, series, reality shows, and sports. TVN has produced numerous popular Polish programs and series, with long-running formats and original dramas and comedies contributing to its market presence. The network has also invested in international formats and local adaptations, reflecting its role in Poland’s contemporary media landscape.

Ownership and corporate structure have evolved over time. TVN and its sister channels were part of the ITI Group before entering a broader ownership track, with Scripps Networks Interactive acquiring TVN’s parent company in the 2010s. After Discovery Communications completed its acquisition of SNI, TVN became part of what is now Warner Bros. Discovery, the group’s European operations.

TVN remains one of Poland’s leading private broadcasters, widely available via terrestrial, satellite, and cable platforms, and it maintains a strong presence online through tvn.pl and Player.pl, extending its reach beyond traditional television.
