Tähtimuodostelmia
Tähtimuodostelmia, often translated as star formations or stellar associations, are loosely bound groups of stars that are thought to have formed from the same giant molecular cloud. These groups are not gravitationally bound in the same way as star clusters are; instead, their constituent stars are moving together through space with similar velocities. This shared motion suggests a common origin, as all stars within a formation likely condensed from the same initial large cloud of gas and dust.
There are two main types of tähtimuodostelmia: OB associations and T associations. OB associations are characterized
The study of tähtimuodostelmia is important for understanding stellar evolution and the processes of star formation.
