Társtulajdonosok

Társtulajdonosok refers to co-owners in Hungarian legal terminology. This concept applies when two or more individuals share ownership of a particular property. The ownership can be divided in various ways, most commonly by fraction or by specific, identifiable parts of the property. Hungarian civil law, particularly the Civil Code, governs the rights and obligations of co-owners.

In cases of fractional co-ownership, each owner possesses a specific percentage of the entire property, but they do not own a physically distinct section. Their rights extend to the whole property, subject to the rights of other co-owners. Disputes between co-owners are common and can arise over the use, maintenance, or sale of the property. The termination of co-ownership can be achieved through various means, including a voluntary agreement to sell the property and divide the proceeds, or through a court-ordered partition.
