Sünnituskanaliga
Sünnituskanaliga refers to the birth canal, the passageway through which a fetus travels during childbirth. This canal is comprised of the cervix, vagina, and vulva. The cervix, the lower, narrow part of the uterus, must dilate significantly to allow the baby to pass through. The vagina is a muscular tube that connects the cervix to the outside of the body. The vulva includes the external female genitalia.
During labor, uterine contractions push the baby downwards. As labor progresses, the cervix effaces and dilates.
