Süngaditehnoloogiate refers to technologies related to the extraction and utilization of biogas, primarily produced from the anaerobic digestion of organic matter. The process of anaerobic digestion breaks down these materials in the absence of oxygen, generating biogas, which is a mixture of gases, predominantly methane and carbon dioxide.

Alternatively, it can be upgraded to biomethane by removing carbon dioxide and other impurities. This biomethane is chemically similar to natural gas and can be injected into the existing natural gas grid, used as a vehicle fuel, or utilized for industrial processes.
