Südamekloppimine is the Estonian term for palpitations, which are sensations of the heart beating unusually strongly, rapidly, or irregularly. This can feel like a fluttering, pounding, or racing sensation in the chest. It is a common symptom and can be experienced by people of all ages.

Palpitations can be triggered by a variety of factors, both physical and psychological.
